In Chicago last week, a Green Day fan got the thrill of a lifetime…
The band was performing at the Aragon Ballroom when Billie Joe Armstrong noticed a fan in the crowd, holding a sign saying he could play every song from their 1994 album, Dookie.
Mega-fan Thomas Bulvan wrote on Instagram about the exchange with Armstrong, “He asked me ‘Do you really know all of them’ and I said yes! And so he said, ‘Get up on stage.'”
Armstrong then asked Bulvan if he could play “When I Come Around,” which ended up being the song they performed together.
Bulvan stayed true to his word, playing Green Day’s hit to a tee.
The band released their new album, Revolution Radio in October and just announced another North American tour starting in March. This includes dates in London and Hamilton on March 19 and 20, 2017.
