A new Foot Locker ad featuring Tom Brady has many people (including himself) asking questions.
In the commercial, the all-star quarterback makes fun of the scandal without mentioning it directly.
“Just because something’s great year after year doesn’t mean anything’s going on,” he says in the ad. “Why can’t some things just be great? It starts with questions, and then questions turn into assumptions, and then assumptions turn into vacations.”
The “Deflategate” scandal involved the tampering of the air pressure in footballs during the 2015 AFC Championship and led to a four-game suspension for Brady.
But when asked about the ad, Brady admitted he even didn’t know what he was thinking when he decided to do it. One explanation he gave was that he had a lot of time on his hands during the suspension earlier this season.
