GN’R has added a series of tour dates for next summer, as the band continues its reunion.
Axl, Slash, Duff, and company will tour in Europe, before returning to North America for 16 dates starting in July. This new leg of the tour kicks off in St. Louis on July 27, marking the first time Guns N’ Roses has performed in the city since the infamous “Riverport Riot” in July 1991.
You may remember the riot started after Axl Rose attacked a photographer in the crowd, and then blamed security for not confiscating the camera. He slammed his mic down and stomped off the stage, igniting at massive riot at the venue. Twelve people were hurt, and the band was banned from playing in St. Louis, with Rose charged with misdemeanor assault and property damage, and fined $50,000.
Sixteen Canadian dates are part of the tour, including stops in Ottawa and Montreal. So far, there isn’t another Toronto date, but GN’R will play in Buffalo on August 16.
