HBO has moved up the release date of the documentary, Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.
The film, directed by Alexis Bloom and Fisher Stevens, was scheduled for a March debut. But after the untimely deaths of Fisher (from a massive heart attack) on Tuesday, and Reynolds (from an apparent stroke) only a day later, HBO will now air Bright Lights on Saturday January 7 at 8pm.
The documentary attempts to capture the eccentric, yet loving relationship between the mother and daughter actresses as they live together in Beverly Hills. During filming, Reynolds still had a Las Vegas act, but it was stressing her out more and more. Fisher, meanwhile, always responded to her mother’s issues with comedic fashion.
It should be a interesting look into their lives and careers.
