He may have entered the PC leadership race just last week, but celebrity businessman Kevin O’Leary is already the preferred candidate.
The latest from The Forum Poll finds O’Leary with 27% support of decided Canadian voters.
He leads Maxium Bernier by 16%, Lisa Raitt by 20%, and Michael Chong by 21%.
The poll also finds about 38% of Canadians believe someone else would be a better choice to lead the party.
When it comes to Conservative Party members, O’Leary leads all of the other candidates with 31% support.
“Kevin O’Leary’s entry into the Conservative leadership race has propelled him to the front of the field, with more than double the support of his nearest rival. Still, more than a third of interested voters don’t support any of the current candidates.” – Forum Research President, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff.
