A newly renovated and upgraded parking lot is now available to TTC passengers, at Yorkdale Station, but securing a spot is a bit more expensive.
It will now cost $7, up from $5.
There are more than 1,000 spaces in a covered and heated multi-level structure, which should provide some much needed relief to those who use Downsview and Wilson stations.
Two months ago, 610 spots were closed at Wilson to make way for retail space; just over 500 more will close within the next few months.
The renovated lot also features a communication system which is monitored by mall security, as well as a pay-on exit payment system, which should make for a faster entry.
In a statement, the TTC also says passengers will have access to 2,800 new spaces at a trio of lots on the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension by the end of this year, as well as access to a lot at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
