Last night’s Super Bowl will go down in the history book as one of the greats, with Tom Brady and his Patriots coming from behind to beat the Falcons 34-28 in overtime, a record fifth Vince Lombardi Trophy for the all-star quarterback.
But for some who watch the Super Bowl, they could care less about the actual game.
Some participate in Super Bowl Sunday just to see the spectacle that is the half time show and others, well, they come to see what outlandish advertising tactics companies will enact in their big-budget ads.

In this commercial, entitled “Car”, we find a guy who is so fed up, he decides to fake his own death to try to get out of his Verizon contract. It seemed like a genius idea until Sprint customer, Paul, shows up to offer a simpler alternative: Switching to Sprint – a network that is within 1% reliability of Verizon and he can save 50% on his current Verizon rate.

Another Super Bowl spot in my good graces, not for anything particularly clever in this commercial… other than the fact that they used Asia’s “Heat of the Moment.”
