To say it has been a mild February in Toronto, would be an understatement.
Temperatures have been well above seasonal all month and the trend will continue this week. Environment Canada is predicting day-time high of 12 degrees on Tuesday, which will flirt with the February 21st record of 12.9 degrees set back in 1997.
But the real shock will come on Wednesday when the mercury is set to reach 17 degrees. Environment Canada’s Rob Kuhn tells AM640 News that could easily set an all-time record high for the month. “If we can reach 17 it will be the highest temperature ever recorded in February for the city of Toronto.” Kuhn said.
The current record for the month is 14.4 degrees, set back in 1976.
