According to a story on Global News yesterday we Canadians love buying and selling our used goods. Canadians earned an average of $1,037 and saved $843 by buying and selling old goods in 2016.
According to Kijiji’s Second-Hand Economy Index, Canadians traded almost two billion second-hand goods (or an average of 78 second-hand products exchanged by Canadians) and spent a total of $29 billion in second-hand transactions in 2016 – that’s an increase of $1 billion from the previous year.
And that’s just what they track online. What about all those garage sales you’re going to start seeing in the next few months?
What was the best deal you got on a second hand item and where did you get it? Kijiji? Garage Sale? Value Village?
