A new study says getting a good night’s rest is like winning the lottery. Not even a multi-million dollar jackpot but a few hundred thousand.
Researchers at the University of Warwick found that improving sleep quality is just as beneficial to your health and happiness as winning a jackpot of £200,000 (or $330,491).
On the other hand, poor-quality sleep, as well as fewer hours slept and an increased use of sleep medication, results in worsening medical and emotional well-being.
So would you rather win a $300,000 jackpot but have crappy sleep the rest of your life OR no jackpot win and a good eight hours every night?
