Did you miss out on Derringer in the Morning? Here’s the best of the best of what was talked about today!
Oh baby! Playoff hockey is returning to Toronto. The buds went from dud Leafs to Leafers after an emotional rollercoaster of a game Saturday night against Pittsburgh. In celebration of a T-Dot playoff berth, coach Babsy dropped by Derringer in the Morning to share his excitement. It’s a hot one today in the city; smells like summer — time to bust out the short shots and get our spray-tans on! Our friend Patrick Malkin happens to be in France, visiting Vimy Ridge for the 100 year anniversary of World War 1 and called in to the Q studio to relay and honour the experience.

Derringer’s Tool of the Day: Teenagers Driving Expensive Cars
Derringer had a scary experience while driving over the weekend. He was almost hit by a brand new Lamborghini heading southbound on the 404. The driver clearly wasn’t paying attention, as he did it to another car on the highway as well! When Derringer got a closer look, he realized that it was a teenager on his cell phone driving this expensive car. He didn’t look any older than 17! The kid’s parents are Derringer’s Tool of the Day for allowing him to drive such a fast, expensive car.
100th Anniversary of Vimy Ridge
Thousands of Canadians gathered in France over the weekend for the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge. The four-day battle left 3,600 Canadian soldiers dead and over 7,000 wounded. Our colleague over at AM640, Patrick Malkin, was at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France on Sunday. He joined Derringer in the Morning to talk about the experience.
Babsy on Saturday Night’s Win
They did it! The Leafs secured a spot in the playoffs over the weekend! Our pal Babsy stopped by to talk all things playoffs and what the plan is for the first round.
