Did you miss out on Derringer in the Morning? Here’s the best of the best of what was talked about today!
A lot going on today: it’s Tax Deadline Day, May Day and National Concert Day – Derringer, Jenn and Ryan countdown the concerts they’re most excited for this summer. Interesting little nuggets: did you know it wasn’t until 1987 that Air Canada banned smoking on its airplanes? Speaking of nuggets… would you go ‘around the world’ for $25 bucks and a 6-pack of Chicken Nuggs? Well one woman accepted that offer, from an undercover cop. Oops!

Derringer’s Tool of the Day: Leafs Fans Aren’t Happy…
The Toronto Maple Leafs have unfollowed thousands of people on twitter, and fans aren’t happy about it!
On tweet read: “Hey @MapleLeafs We get you’re a playoff team now. That doesn’t mean you should unfollow everyone that that stood by you till then #TMLtalk”
The Leafs have since apologized, saying they’re making improvements to how they interact on social media and that the unfollow process wasn’t meant to be malicious. We still love you, Leafs!
Smoking on Airplanes
1987 was the year that smoking was banned from Air Canada airplanes. Ryan found an article from that year and shared some interesting facts about the smoking ban. Looking back, it’s hard to believe that smoking on planes – or even smoking rooms – ever existed!
