Not only does the KBF rock the dog daze of summer—The Sheepdogs are on board Thursday night (Aug 10th) at the OLG Clock Tower Stage to do just that. Seems fitting somehow. Thursday kicks off with the Two Matts lest we forget The Harpoonist and The Axemurderer before the Dogs take the stage. Friday’s free performances is a bluesy one with Lucky Peterson headlining the day. Lucky was discovered by “blues legend Willie Dixon when he was three years old, released his first record at five and soon after appeared on The Tonight Show”. Quite a resume for a kid who went on to play with Bobby Blue Bland and other blues greats. Saturday features David Wilcox with headliners The Box which you may remember their “new wave/pop/art rock sound” in songs like “Walk Away” and “Ordinary People” playing the YNC Stage and Sunday features Michel Pagliaro on the OLG Tower Stage at 3:30pm performing “Rainshowers”, “Some Sing Some Dance” and “What The Hell I Got” and more blues on the agenda with Bobby Rush closing the Festival on the YNC stage.
There are some really cool workshops as well. The music of Cr
osby Stills Nash and Young is examined by a panel of experts and over at Cork Hall By McCabes the STINK LP: 1969 McKenna Mendelson Mainline performed in its entirety by Mike McKenna and the Slidewinder Blues Band.
