It’s time to ride!
On Sunday, August 13, join hundreds of cyclists at the 16th annual Ride for Karen presented by Scotiabank, a charity ride that raises money to send children with cancer to camp.
This year Ride for Karen is excited to have been chosen as the Ontario Cycling Association’s charity ride for 2017!
The 2017 ride will start from Markham District High School and will feature the 100km and 160km courses, as well as the 200km route option that was introduced for the first time last year.
A tribute to the life and legacy of Karen Tobias, the Ride for Karen was started by her sons in 2002. Since then, the event has raised more than $2,410,000 to help build and furnish new cancer care facilities, provide much needed resources for cancer support centres and send kids with cancer to camp.
100% of money raised goes to charities that provide programs for children with cancer and their families, such as Camp Quality, Camp Oochigeas and Camp Trillium.
Join us and help make this the best year yet!
