They're better, but...

The Leafs finished their 5 game road trip with a couple of overtime losses over the weekend ( I know Montreal's was a shootout). It means they finished the road trip at .500 with 1 win, 1 loss and three overtime losses. As bad as they've been, and they've been bad, they still are only seven points out of a playoff spot. The Monster appears to be a quality goalie and Phil Kessel is likely to play tomorrow. Plus Tomas Kaberle seems to be playing like someone has lit a fire under his butt. Is all that enough to make you a believer?

I've never not been a believer,Billy. It's just the other teams are much better. I think it will take a few more games (losses) to jell the team. Besides, I'm a Flames fan!

I was watching the Yankees, on the weekend. It just reminded me of how the great teams get to the Finals on a regular bases. So what makes the Leafs so great? JUST MEMORIES !

I agree that they've been playing better. Having said that, I have a huge problem with calling a 1 and 4 stretch a .500 road trip.
Does this mean that a team that goes winless all year, loses 82 games, albeit all in overtime or by shootouts, is a .500 hundred team? Sorry Billy, I think not.
Hey, why doesn't it feel like fall even though we are now into November?
Simple: the Leafs haven't changed......They STILL suck!
