Happy Hallowe'en!

Last night's Hallowe'en Howl at the Sound Academy?
An absolute blast.
On behalf of myself, Steph Hunter, DJ John Garbutt and the entire Q Staff, I'd like to thank you for making the time to come out and party with us. Fried Alive and the Ozzybournes were fantastic on stage and your costumes were spectacular. Look for pictures coming soon to Q107.com.
In the meantime, I've some bad news. Sadly, I can't be with you this Hallowe'en. I'm attending a wedding in Milton (not my own), but in my place on Q Saturday Afternoon will be none other than Q's own Alex Hindmarch. I'm sure he's got plenty of treats for you, so enjoy!
Being that it is Hallowe'en, I scoured the internet looking for the right kind of scare to pass on to you. I could've posted something about the suffering economy, the holiday season to come or swine flu. Indeed, all of them are scary to think about, but I wanted to make you behold something truly terrifying.
Last year on a flight down to the Dominican Republic (a cheap, all-inclusive vacation), I endured perhaps the worst flight experience imaginable. Small seats, the guy in front of me with his seat too far back, the kid behind me kicking my chair as he played his PSP and a baby beside me, screaming the entire time.
That's bad right? It got worse when the in-flight movie started up.
For your consideration on Hallowe'en 2009, I give you this:
There is nothing more frightening than a scene and song from last year's Abba movie, Mamma Mia.
Nothing.
I dare you to top it.

Hey Jason, I dragged the wife out to Friday's bash -- she didn't really want to go. When it was time to leave, I had to drag her out again -- she didn't want to leave! Excellent bash!

Jason, I’m sure many could not top that story … but at least your plane’s engine didn’t catch fire!!! Although, by the time the movie came on, perhaps you may have been hoping that it would have … since a parachute escape from your horrific experience may have been a welcome alternative/adventure!!

Dear God...The Horror! The HORROR!
...Seriously, I didn't think it was possible to butcher the original version of that song so badly...I mean, it's ABBA...It's already been butchered...Ok, but in the interest of the challenge put forth, if this doesn't beat Mamma Mia, then it at least matches it: A Walk to Remember. Clearly, we're bringing out the big guns this Halloween!
