TTC: Toronto's Terrible Commute

So let's get this straight:
The economy hasn't been doing so well for the last year. Federal and provincial governments are back to running deficits again; black ink has once again turned to red.
You've seen (or possibly experienced) layoffs in your workplace. You've had to take on extra responsibilities and constantly get told to be grateful you get to work longer hours for the same, possibly less cash than ever before. Money's tight. The holidays are going to be leaner this year than any other and on top of it all, prices just keep going up. You're looking for a break.
And now the TTC has decided to hike its fares.
Awesome.
As of January 3rd, an adult fare goes up $0.25 to $3 if paid in cash, $2.50 if by token. Monthly adult Metropasses rise to $121 from $109, while the weekly Metropasses go from $32.25 to $36. ...
Lists aren't everything

Lists are funny things. Same goes for awards.
They're great for those that appear on them but aren't something to determine your tastes by.
For example, you've seen a song by your favourite band climb the chart that you might not be the biggest fan of. Perhaps you thought some deeper, cooler cut was more worthy of attention. Some people agree with you, some don't. That's the nature of individual choice and some individuals choose in similar enough ways to make one kind of work seem a little more special, by mass consensus.
Sure, recognition's great. Some one or some group, the listmakers, determine a work or effort noteworthy enough to recognize in some way.
It doesn't mean you necessarily agree.
