Just Kidding!
Winter + BBQing = Being Canadian
Posted 1/13/2010 8:25:00 AM
Today I’ll be at Yonge-Dundas Square for the Bull’s-Eye Winter BBQ. If you’re in the neighbourhood please stop by and get some meat and Bull’s-Eye Sauce in ya, it will served by the Bull’s-Eye Saucy Ladies.

Have a read below….it gets me fired up to be Canadian (taken from their website http://www.bullseyebrotherhood.ca/index.php)

Canadians are braver than most. A little ice and snow isn’t enough to stop them from doing the things they love – like barbecuing. Anyone can throw a shrimp on the BBQ when the grass is green in the middle of the summertime. But only a Canadian can grill up a t-bone steak in sub-zero winter darkness. That’s why BULL’S-EYE Barbecue Sauce is calling on Torontonians to forget the weather and come enjoy Toronto’s first-ever outdoor BULL’S-EYE winter barbecue.

BULL’S-EYE will also encourage those who are daring enough to donate their hats, scarves and mitts to 'Project Winter Survival'. In addition to sampling food, you can also test your rodeo skills by taking a ride on the mechanical bull.

BBQ’ing in the Winter makes me proud to be Canadian, what else makes you proud to be Canadian?

Yes, Canadians are great at just doing it-my husband will BBQ on our back porch throughout the winter. It just take a little longer for the meat to cook...well worth it-tho'

I'm not near Toronto, but I think it's absolutely canadian to be BBQing allyear round. Way to go for Bull's Eye to do this event, and just as important, Kuddos to the Mighty Q for being there too!!

That we can swim on the pond, lake ,river in the summer and then change with the season and skate, ski ,toboggan or just enjoy the crisp-cold weather.(adaptability)Ryan if you would have posted the BBQ blog a few days ago i can assure you, you would have a bigger crowd attending.
