CSI Hitchcock

Do you watch any TV shows that are off the beaten path? The reason why I ask is because I am obsessed with the show Alfred Hitchcock Presents.  The series features thrillers and mysteries that always have a twist in the end….it’s classic Hitchcock. I watch the original series on DVD from the 50’s and I watch the ones that were filmed here in Toronto in the 1980's.

I thought it would be fun to see if you watch any show that are not the most popular.

Are there any hidden gems out there we should check out?

I always wished Space would show some classics like Time Tunnel, Land Of The Giants, The Invaders, The Night Stalker, Night Gallery and Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea. I'm dating myself, but I vividly remember watching them when City TV started up in 1972/1973, and their programming was primarily really cool reruns. Some folks may remember that time at City...when they also would show the so-called "Baby Blue" movies Friday night after the news at 11!!!

Ryan, The Hitchcock series as well as the the movies he directed, are the best - nothing else measured up. Maybe some Dean Koontz, books. Heading to the Big Apple, for a week, don't miss me too much.

Did you know that "Diddy" is Australian slang for sack of dung. Therefore a P Diddy is a urine soaked sack of dung. i.e. a diaper. Who would call themselves this?

One program springs to mind. I watched every episode of Crash and Burn. It was very well written and the actors portrayed very well. A Canadian production filmed entirely in Hamilton with the lead role played by an actor who grew up in Hamilton, I hope it comes back on to Showcase for a second season.

Californication. I just got into it about a month ago, and was pleasantly surprised about how good it actually is!
