Earlier this year I received an email from a wonderful woman, Judy Danis, who sadly lost her daughter Melissa to cancer. She made a promise to Melissa before she died  that she would do something to help others like her and make their battle against cancer a more comfortable one. My heart went out to her I am in absolute awe of how strong Judy is and how she has managed to cope with her loss and take on the task of creating a fundraising event. She has created the Angel Gala Melissa Danis Ewing Sarcoma Cancer Foundation in support of the Ruth Burnett Centre for Outpatient Oncology. Funds raised will be used to transform the chemotherapy treatment and recovery units into suties that will provide more comfort, privacy and emotional support for the patients and their families.
