So now that it is over did you have to clean up on Sunday? By clean up I'm referring to not just your decorations but any egg or toilet paper mess. Do kids still do that? Have you ever been egged?

I figured out the secret a long time ago, Joanne, on how not to get egged on Devil's night. I got to know my neighbors and got involved with the youth on my street -- organizing street hockey tourneys, barb-b-ques, etc. The kids learned that if they were nice to me, I'd return the favor. It was something my grandfather taught me a long time ago.

It wasn't on Halloween, but in May I was driving home around 12:30 a.m. and my van was egged by a bunch of 13 - 15 year old twits...It was so loud and so hard that I initially thought the van had been shot at. Needless to say it was a bugger of a mess to clean up at one in the morning in the dark. I was still picking eggshells out from the window two weeks later.

Sorry, but I am the one that does the egging. I tried to teach my sons this important event, but they wouldn't do.
Just to my neighbour who called the cops on me.

I've not had it done, but my neighbours have. We now have an evening cruiser coming & it has seemed to work. It's the young fellas with nothing to do...and, we all know who they are!!

Beauty Joanne,
here in Brazil, teens egg each other at the end of school year and also sign each other's uniform.
BTW, whatever happende to Paul James, Rick Law and Frank Meehan of Woodstock. Great Canadian Power Trio!
Would you be tough enough to play one of their cover songs?
Thanx a whole lot.

Hi Joanne
Never been egged but sure have done a few, our method was as follows. We would acquire our eggs a few days prior (at least 7 days) then let them sit on the roof of our hours backing in the hot sun this way you knew you where egged. So one day my cousin and I where heading to our target when we saw an unsuspecting motorist, we looked at each other and laughed so out came the eggs and we plastered this car, well it was an unmarked police car. The only thing I can say is you can run faster scared than mad.

Hi Joanne: I was dating a fellow that worked out of town who had rolled his car. When the car was repaired & completely repainted, he asked me to pick it up so we could go out on the weekend. It was parked in the parking lot for 24 hts & of course someone thought it would be funny to egg it. Needless to say my boyfriend was not please when he had to get the car redone. The paint job was ruined. Clare

The first Halloween in my first home, I dedicated myself to ensuring my house looked scary and very cool. Since its the kids that egg, its the kids you must impress. So far so good!

I was recently egged. I know the Police Chief in our area, he canvased my block that I live on, and brought the culprit over. He washed both of our vehicles, plus raking and mowing our lawn. He won't be egging anytime soon. :)
