The TTC is pushing ahead with plans for an open-fare payment system.
TTC Chair Adam Giambrone says the request for proposals will be posted within ten days, and he expects bids by early September.
The open-fare system is different than Ontario’s Presto Smartcard, and Transportation Minister Kathleen Wynne wonders why the TTC is going full-bore on it when the municipal election is in October.
