JOHN LENNON: THE FINAL INTERVIEW (Wed, Dec. 8 @ 9pm):

 

A two hour radio special centering on the final interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, as recorded December 8, 1980 in New York City at their Dakota apartment, only hours before John’s death. The same team that conducted and recorded the interview (Dave Sholin, Laurie Kaye, Ron Hummel and Burt Keane) have come together 30 years later to re-create the event.

Along with presenting highlights from that historic interview, Sholin, Kaye, Hummel and Keane relay their own unique memories of that day, including events leading up to the interview, meeting John and Yoko, special observations during the interview, even a chance curb-side encounter after the interview with the deranged killer who would gun down Lennon that night, Mark David Chapman. All mixed with music from the Double Fantasy album and memorable Beatle songs as discussed by John and Yoko.
