CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
DERRINGER’S “TOUR OF THE NEIGHBOURHOOD” CONTEST
1. THE CONTEST AND THE CONTEST PERIOD
Derringer’s “Tour of the Neighbourhood” contest (the “Contest”) commences at 12:01 a.m. on April 14, 2008 and concludes at 11:59 p.m. on June 6, 2008 (the “Contest Period”).

3. ELIGIBITY
The Contest is open to residents of Ontario, who have attained the age of eighteen (18), but excluding employees and directors of CILQ-FM (“Q107”), Corus Entertainment Inc. (“Corus”), any affiliate (as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act) of Q107 or Corus (the “Affiliates”), employees, dealers, directors and officers of Tsuyuki Corporation, Home Depot of Canada Inc., Wolf Steel Ltd., Suzuki Canada Inc., Elliott TM Hospitality & Real Estate., Sony of Canada Ltd., 4358376 Canada Inc., Arctic Spas Oakville Inc., (the “Sponsors”), employees, directors and officers of their respective advertising and promotional agencies, as well as family members domiciled with any of the foregoing. The contest is limited to households that can accommodate a broadcast of “Derringer in the Morning” from their home, including but not limited to the being able to facilitate “Bell broadcast lines”.
4. HOW TO ENTER AND WIN
To be eligible, participants must be registered members of Q107.com. In order to become a member, log on to www.q107.com and complete the online registration form. Once a member, click on the “Tour Of The Neighbourhood” Contest page at www.q107.com and complete the online Contest entry form in full by including a photo of your family and neighbours as well as a brief explanation of why Q107 should visit your neighbourhood.
Each Friday during the Contest Period, Q107 will randomly select two (2) entries to participate in the Family Feud Challenge (the “Challenge”) the following week (the “Semi-Finalists”). Semi-Finalists must be available by telephone the following Monday morning between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., and will be required to go “live to air” on with “Derringer in the Morning” to receive instructions regarding the Challenge. Failure to be available by telephone in the time indicated above will result in disqualification. Semi-Finalists will have until the following Thursday morning ot complete the Challenge. On the following Thursday morning, both Semi-Finalists will be required to attend at the Q107 studios located at 1 Dundas Street, Ste. 1600 (the “Studio”) at 8:00 a.m. and to join “Derringer in the Morning” to determine the winner of the Challenge (the “Challenge Winners”)
The Challenge Winners will be awarded a “Derringer in the Morning” broadcast, live from his or her home the following Friday morning (the “Broadcast”). As part of the Broadcast, Q107 will provide a gourmet breakfast for up to twenty (20) people, including food and outdoor grill. Q107 may require access to a kitchen for additional food preparation.
In addition to the Broadcast, the Challenge Winners will receive the following:
- A Sony KDL46S3000 46” BRAVIA™ Widescreen High-Definition LCD TV with ATSC Digital Tuner from Sony and G&G Electronics
- A Sony DAVHDZ235 5.1ch BRAVIA Theatre System from Sony and G&G Electronics
- A Sony SUFL300L Floor Stand from Sony and G&G Electronics
- PT450RBI Napoleon grill, from Napoleon Barbeques;
- A Rio Strong hot tub from Arctic Spas;
- One (1) $1000 gift certificate redeemable at Home Depot
- Installation of the foregoing, where applicable (the “Grand Prize #1”)
Listeners will be invited to drive by and pick up a free coffee on the morning of each Broadcast, and to enter to win a trip for two (2) to the Dominican Republic (the “Grand Prize #2”). At the end of each Broadcast, one entrant will be randomly selected as the winner of Grand Prize #2.
Grand Prize #2 will consist of the following:
- a return flight for two (2) between Toronto to the Dominican Republic;
- seven (7) days all-inclusive accommodation at for two (2) at Sun Village Beach Resort, Confresi Beach, Dominican Republic (the “Resort”); and
- ground transfers from to and from the airport in the Dominican Republic.
Each listener who enters to win Grand Prize #2 (excluding those who win Grand Prize #2) will automatically be entered to win a 2008 Suzuki SX4 Sport Sedan (the “Grand Prize #3”). At the end of the Broadcast on June 6, 2008, one entrant will be randomly selected as the winner of Grand Prize #3.
5. GRAND PRIZE VALUE
The approximate retail value of Grand Prize #1 is $9,550. The approximate retail value of Grand Prize #2 is $3,000. The approximate retail value of Grand Prize #3 is $20,095 (before destination and delivery fees and taxes).
6. LIMITATIONS ON DATES OF TRAVEL
Grand Prize #2 must be taken by December 21, 2009 (the “Travel Period”). Blackout dates will apply from December 25, 2008 - Jan 1, 2009, March 9 , 2009 - March 16, 2009. Booking is also subject to the availability at the Resort. If the winner is unable to travel during the Travel Period, he or she will forfeit Grand Prize #2.
7. EXPENSES
The winner of Grand Prize #2 is responsible for all incidental expenses incurred for the purpose of taking or during the trip including, but not limited to, ground transportation not specifically mentioned in Section 4, above, airport improvement fees, travel insurance, trip cancellation insurance, connector flights, sightseeing tours, tips, departure taxes, fees and surcharges, excess baggage fees, costs associated with obtaining travel documents, visas, or necessary vaccinations, or items of a personal nature (the “Expenses”). The winner of Grand Prize #2 understands that he or she may not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from Q107, Corus, the Affiliates, the Sponsors or their respective advertising and promotional agencies. The Grand Prize winners and his or her guests are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents prior to departure.
Grand Prize # 3 includes Destination and Delivery and all applicable taxes. The winner of Grand Prize #3 is responsible for any license registration fee’s, insurance, and any additional accessories added on Grand Prize #3, as well as all expenses associated with acquiring ownership in the Grand Prize #3 (the “Expenses”). The Grand Prize winner understands that he or she may not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from Q107, Corus, the Affiliates, the Sponsors or their respective advertising and promotional agencies.
8. LIMITATION ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES PERMITTED
Only one entry per person per household is permitted. Multiple entries will be discarded. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are reproduced, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
9. CHANCES OF WINNING
Chances of winning depend on the total number or registered Contest entrants.
10. NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES
Neither Q107 nor Corus makes any representation or offers any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Grand Prizes. The Grand Prize winners understand and acknowledge that he or she may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from Q107 or Corus should the Grand Prize fail to be fit for its purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory to the Grand Prize winner.
11. DECLARATION AND RELEASE OF GRAND PRIZE WINNER
Before being awarded any of the Grand Prizes, the winner, and in the case of Grand Prize #2, the winner and his or her guest must:
a) Correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited skill-testing mathematical question; and
b) Sign a standard form confirming that by entering the Contest:
- he or she read, understood and accepted these rules and regulations;
- that he or she understands that acceptance of the Grand Prize may involve danger and/or exposure to risks and hazards of both man-made and natural origin, whether arising from foreseeable or unforeseeable human error and negligence, and that, as a result, he or she may suffer damage to personal property, serious personal injury, illness or even death;
- that he or she nevertheless freely and voluntarily agrees and does hereby assume any and all risks of personal injury, illness, death arising out of or connected with his or her participation in the Contest and winning the Grand Prize; and
- that he or she releases Q107, Corus, the Affiliates, the Sponsors, and all of their directors, officers, employees, agents as well as their respective advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability arising in connection with participation in the Contest and acceptance of either Grand Prize, including, without limitation, any financial, legal or moral responsibility or loss or personal injury including death or damage to or loss of property suffered or incurred or arising from participating in the Contest or accepting either Grand Prize, whether suffered by the Grand Prize winner or his or her guest, or by his or her heirs, administrators, personal representatives or executors, and notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by any act, omission, negligence or gross negligence of any or all of the Releasees.
13. GRAND PRIZE TO BE ACCEPTED AS AWARDED
The decision of the Contest judges is final, and the Grand Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No portion of the Grand Prizes is transferable. The Grand Prizes are not redeemable for cash and no substitute for any portion of the Grand Prize is offered. Should the Grand Prize winners be unable to claim the Grand Prize as awarded, his or her entry will be forfeited.
14. SUBSTITUTION OR CHANGE TO THE CONTEST
Q107, Corus, the Sponsors and their respective advertising and promotional agencies reserve the right to substitute the Grand Prizes or any component thereof, for those of approximately the same value and reserve the right to change the Contest rules or terminate or withdraw the Contest at any time, without prior notice.
15. OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES
All entries shall become the property of Q107, Corus, the Sponsors and their advertising and promotional agencies. The Releasees assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, destroyed or otherwise indecipherable entries due to any failure or technical malfunction of the telephone network, on-line computer systems of equipment, servers, access providers, software, poor reception, technical problems, failure of any email or submission or due to any other reason regardless of cause.
16. CONSENT TO USE OF PERSONALITY
By entering the Contest, each entrant, including the Grand Prize winners, consents to the use of his or her name, city of residence, photograph, voice, likeness, image or any other aspect of his or her personality for any publicity and programming purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media used by Q107, Corus, the Sponsors, promoters and their advertising and promotional agencies, without any payment or compensation. The Grand Prize winners further agree that his or her audio reaction may be used for on-air promotional purposes. The entrants understand and acknowledge that Q107 may contact him or her on-air without prior knowledge as a result of his or her participation in the Contest.
17. CONSENT TO COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering the Contest and voluntarily providing personal information including, but not limited to, name, address, city, email address, home and office telephone numbers (the “Registrant Information”), each Contest entrant grants permission to Q107, Corus and the Sponsors to the collection and use of the Registrant Information for the exclusive purpose of administering the Contest and selecting the Grand Prize winners. No correspondence will take place between Q107, Corus, the Sponsors and the entrants except in connection with the Contest and, in the case of the Grand Prize winner, as a result of entering the Contest and winning the Grand Prize.

19. COMPLIANCE WITH CONTEST RULES
All contestants agree to abide by the Contest Rules, which are subject to change at the sole discretion of Q107 Corus and the Sponsors.
20. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
This Contest is void where prohibited by law, and is subject to all federal, provincial, territorial and municipal laws and regulations of Canada and of each province, territory and municipality of Canada, respectively.
