Music is the greatest art form in the history of the world.
You don't need to be able to see it.
You don't need to be able to understand it.
There is just something about it that can resonate on a primal level: it cuts through our mood, stops us in our tracks and moves us in ways we hitherto thought impossible.
And then there's THIS.... An 8 year old blind, autistic boy. A street busker. And a beautiful tune.
THIS is how music connects.
Incredible.
I wonder how many huge rock stars have had a moment like this busker?
UPDATE!
I've just been on the busker's site - his name is Tyler Gregory - and he has a beautiful journal entry describing the experience...
here's an excerpt.
It was an ordinary day, walking to my regular spot to busk when I ...
Breasts. Feeding. And how the internet is too fast for me now.

Too fast.
Way too fast.
It's lunchtime. And I'm getting tonight's show together. Surfing the net for quirky stories and whatnot. And I come across this photograph on Huffington Post. Real Mum. Her real kid. By the way.

Brilliant! I think. Great thing to talk about on tonight's show.
So I think about my angle - and my angle is "how the HELL is that kid going to feel when he gets a bit older and sees this photo. Or even worse - what will his CLASSMATES say about it. What will his nickname be at school etc etc. Maybe I can even try and work out some songs as a tribute to it."
It's at this point the internet clock starts ticking. This is NOT a story that is going to just sit there. It's going to go viral very quickly.
Can ...
When you can be tooooo musically clever.

You may have seen this guy already.
He can play the Theme from Star Wars.
Every part.
With just his voice.
He also does a mean version of the The Simpsons theme as well.
I think he's amazing. But....
There is one thing that irks me.
As well as being a phenomenal vocalist he is the master at another instrument... the smug grin. And he can't help whipping that out every few seconds.
There is nothing more annoying than someone who is more clever than you letting you know that they know they are more clever than you ervery five seconds.
