Former Quiet Riot vocalist speaks out on firing

4/30/2012

Former Quiet Riot vocalist Mark Huff is not happy about how the band handled his dismissal.

In January, four months after he took over for late vocalist Kevin DuBrow, Mark suffered a seizure and woke up in a hospital awaiting brain surgery.
No one from the band came to visit him, and while he was waiting, he read online that he had been fired.

Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali issued a statement saying that Mark's medical condition had nothing to do with his firing, and that if certain persons wished to villainize him, "that is their prerogative," and it seems like some fans are taking him up on that offer.

Mark says he thinks that he had been doing "one hell of a job" so far and was prepared to continue fulfilling his obligations, and although his feelings were hurt, he's moving past it.
