This seems to be happening more and more, they got pinched for $1000. Some clown is walking around with my co-workers cash, don’t you just hate that?

He told me that the bank told him you should change your PIN # every once in a while to keep the criminals guessing.

Have you ever been ripped off?

Hope you guys have a great weekend; I’m off to change my PIN.

Makes My Ears BleedI just heard a sound that I can’t stand and I thought this would be a great blog topic.

What noise or sound can’t you stand? For me it’s the sound of Styrofoam rubbing together. When I hear it, it makes my skin crawl and my hair actually starts growing back.

R. PJ's A-OK?This morning Maureen and I got into a conversation about pajamas. My wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday at the end of the month and I said ‘what everybody wants for their b-day….pajamas’. That might be a little extreme, but a decent set of PJ’s is all I want. Is that weird????

In the summer I like to rock a pair of boxers and a t-shirt but when the winter comes I like to go old school to bed.

I have attached a picture of exactly what I want. That is vintage, classic pajamas and a cigar. Nothing screams getting ready for bed than lighting up a cigar. I love it…I want to look like Ward Clever when I hit the sack.

Do you feel the same way?

Safety ThirdOver the weekend I put up the Christmas Lights…not much of a story I know. But here is the deal, to be able to put the lights on the front of the house I had to climb on the roof. My wife was concerned for my safety so I did what I thought was best and asked her to “tie me off”. I climbed out of out bathroom window and slithered on my belly…now here is the rub….I didn’t have any rope so I used the belt from my housecoat. Not the smartest move I know, please tell me I’m not alone and you’ve doesn’t something crazy along those lines? (even if you haven’t you can make it up, I need to know I’m not alone)

Have a great (safe) day

2012For once in my life I actually watched something educational. I caught the story of Nostradamus on the History Channel, you learn a lot more watching the History channel than watching re-runs of ‘She’s the Sherriff’. Anyway, the Nostradamus piece was about him predicting the world ending in 2012, I know there is a movie that came out this weekend that tackles the same subject.

So here is the question, do you believe anything will happen in 2012?

I’m starting to get a little nervous

Friday Video: Me vs. Fire
The other day I had the pleasure of checking out a fabulous facility at the GTAA. The place is called FESTI (The Fire & Emergency Services Training Institute)

FESTI provides exceptional instruction in a ground breaking facility for organizations that need their crews trained to the highest standard. It is the one stop portal for provincial, national and international emergency response training for new or current firefighters.

Here is a video of me taking care of business (by taking care of business I mean falling apart at the seams because I am not equipped to be a firefighter)

Thanks to Scott, Les and Dan for keeping me safe.

Would you feel safe if I was coming to save ya?  Have a great weekend

The Stache (not seen round the world)
I have been growing my moustache for the past 12 days in support of ‘Movember’. Movember is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year to raise funds and awareness for men's health.

I think it’s coming in nicely but my wife didn’t even notice it last night. So I need your advice and I’m asking you to grade my moustache.

What do you give my whiskers?

A Pittance of Time: The Story, Song and Video
Below was taken from Terry Kelly’s website. It’s the story behind the song ‘A Pittance of Time’.

On November 11, 1999 Terry Kelly was in a drug store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At 10:55 AM an announcement came over the store’s PA asking customers who would still be on the premises at 11:00 AM to give two minutes of silence in respect to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for us.

Terry was impressed with the store’s leadership role in adopting the Legion’s “two minutes of silence” initiative. He felt that the store’s contribution of educating the public to the importance of remembering was commendable.
When eleven o’clock arrived on that day, an announcement was again made asking for the “two minutes of silence” to commence. All customers, with the exception of a man who was accompanied by his young child, showed their respect.
Terry’s anger towards the father ...

Do you have any raisins? No? How about a date?I met my wife in bar, fortunately we had a mutual friend who happened to be there the same night so we got introduced. I remember thinking, this girl is pretty and seems nice, I should probably buy her a drink or 12. When I was single my move was to get her, me and everyone else around us intoxicated. I remember talking to her all night just trying to widdle her down till I got her phone #....I’m not sure if it was me or the crantinis but it worked.

The one thing I know is that pick up lines never worked for me. Although my favourite is this one…”Is that a mirror in your pocket? Cuz I can see myelf in your pants” Classy eh?

Do you have any great pick up lines or stories?…maybe ones you have used or had used on you…I would love to hear ...
