It’s your friend from Hamilton ,delivers The Hamilton Spectator,Toronto Star, and Globe ,in Hamilton, who listens to you, more than he ever listened to his mother.Everynight I am tuned to your show, keeping me company.Do you remember me? I know you are very busy,so I don’t email all that often, last time was almost 14 months ago,and you played Frank Zappa for me.
I told you a couple years went by ,since I told you,Iplayed with Steve Mahon and Gord Lewis back in the late 90’s when they were the Shaking Heads( since Frank was n’t available and Jack Peddler wasn’t playing with them for a very long while back then). That was at a place called we called Club Nebo.We were their clone band, and Steve Mahon (jethro) ,played with us,every Thursday night for 2 years.Steve even asked me to join Teenage Head ,about 1999,but I broke my neck back in 96….I had a cow( bovine ) bone placed between my 6 and 7 th vertebrae to help restabilize my neck…..Needless to say didn’t think I could keep up with them on the road,!I mean what a scene it would cause having something go wrong with my neck during a show, since every show would be a workout.so I said I couldn’t… It was the right decision for medical reasons, but to this day when I’m working my route, and I hear them on your show,or commercial,on your show,I smile and remember.I lost contact with them not long afterward…you know Jethro always told me for years….Don’t get involved in the business, because of the whole sleazy end of the business, like being ripped off in a financial sense. So,when he asked me to join the band,I was confused, but, he is a great musician, and human being…It turned out to be the right decision, since I have had more than my share of medical things occur that would have made gigging impossible.
Some day it would be an honour if you’d listen to one demos,or even a live performance from back then.Just so you know, Steve and Gord made a deal with us not to record them at our practices, but we covered them very well.Thats why Steve played with us,for so long. But,let me know. I deliver my papers in all types of weather and you are always there.Oh ya, Btw, since I have to listen to the new radio format, after Chorus changed the format to Rock, from classic rock(I am 60y/o)…..my brain tumour was aching a bit….but I am adapting.Since I am trying to adapt to the new stuff ,that you play, you should at least let me send you one song to listen to.It would be an honour, since I thought about asking you,to do that for years.
Happy New Year! Please keep your insightful stories and helpings of rock history trivia coming. Also It is nice to hear you on the air last night, since I thought you’d be away,it was nice surprise. I listen to you after 2AM,all the time,so if you can play more Nirvana. Headstones , and Teenage Head. All the best in the New year. Robert Nusca
I hope you enjoyed your treat from our archives.Theres lots more if you like….We hope you do like it because we played our little hearts out till our fingers bled….that’s true.Robert

How about a Lou Reed spot on psychodelic Sunday. Just to change things up. Q107 rocks.
Ok, what’s with the Duran Duran & New Order? I understand having to mix it up, but I don’t ever remember Q playing this music at all. If you’re suppose to play more 80’s, which was a great decade of hair bands, can you play the stuff that doesn’t suck. Please.
Hey Andy. I love Father and Son, Peace Train, & Wild World by Cat Stevens!
Thanks for putting on consistently amazing Sunday afternoons!

we have a funny new years eve tradition where we stay up til midnight and jingle change in a jar or whatever to welcome the new year and that is our superstition that we are guaranteed money in our wallets all year long

Hey Andy, hope all is well, I listen to you every chance I get when I am in the car driving home from Guelph to Beachville-when I lived back home in Newfoundland, me and the crew used to listen to you everynight in those heedy early 90’s years on Overnight with Andy Frost. We were always phoning in to request Fly at Night by Chilliwack-seems to be so many years ago. have a great day and keep up the great tunes.
Enjoy your show. Sorry about the change there at the Mighty Q
I remember walking past the Hard Rock wearing a Zeppelin tie dye and you waving at me. It made me laugh and I knew right then it wasn’t just a job for you. You’re one of the lucky ones.
Please go back to being the PA announcer for the Leafs the crowd feels dead or not as pumped regardless on how the Leafs do.
Hi Andy, Its your neighbour and local school bus driver Susan. I’ll be listening to the Q all day. In sick with a cold on this lovely Easter weekend. Have a great weekend.
Hi Andy…. Why are you not the announcer at the ACC anymore?….Miss you at the Leaf games!!
